Kieron Gillen, Liam Sharp, Roy Thomas & More To Be Guests At Portsmouth Comic Con in 2019

There was absolutely no doubt that Portsmouth Comic Con was a blinding success all round last year. From fans, to comic book professionals and locals with more than a passing interest in this city-centre based convention, everyone I spoke to over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend upon which it was scheduled loved it.
With its mix of new talent and veteran legends like Walter Simonson, it was a comic con that delivered in spades. So, its no surprise that this year’s guest list is rather impressive again. Whether through good word of mouth, or through the desire to have a weekend by the sea, either way, this sophomore year should only build on the inaugural event’s success.

While the full guest list has yet to be completed, its nearly there. And, with tickets on sale now, it’s worth informing you all who’s in so far.
As the headline lets you know, Liam Sharp (The Green Lantern) is flying in from the Colonies, along with legendary comic book creators, Roy Thomas and Steve Englehart. Along for the jamboree by the sea will be Kieron Gillen (The Wicked + The Divine), who’s only been announced as a guest, Tomm Coker (The Black Monday Murders), Sean Phillips (Criminal), Sarah Begum and more.

It was one of my favourite cons of last year, and I can’t wait to get back to Portsmouth and get stuck in once again.
