Mondo Re-Release They Live Soundtrack And Behind-The-Scenes Book

This week Mondo are re-releasing the 1988 soundtrack to one of John Carpenter’s cheesier cult films, They Live by Carpenter and Alan Howarth. All wrapped in new artwork courtesy of Alan Hynes.
As usual, it’ll be on 180 gramme vinyl with two colour schemes. There’s the Mondo webs tire exclusive, the Annihilation Of Consciousness variant (Black & White Swirl) and the regular Formaldehyde Face variant (Reverse Purple and Blue Splatter). It goes on sale this Wednesday, the 30th of January.

Alongside this comes They Live: A Visual and Cultural Awakening featuring contributions from John Carpenter, Slavoj Zizek, Shepard Fairey, John Grant and many more and edited by Craig Oldham. It will be published by Rough Trade Books.

Mondo/Death Waltz Recording Company will be releasing their own special edition of this book which will come in a slipcase, and include a signed and numbered money bill and lenticular bookmark, limited to 750 copies through their web store.
