‘Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Re;surrection’ Promo Video Released
by Sage Ashford
The story of Lelouch, Zero, and Geass continues with the release of the new film, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection. The film launched in Japan on February 9th, and Bandai has released a promotional video featuring footage from the film. The film features all of the major players from the original series, from Suzaku and Kallen to C.C. and the man himself, Lelouch Vi Britannia. There’s also quite obviously some very sweet looking new mecha in the footage, meaning there’s doubtlessly plenty of big battles in the film.
While the film is in Japan already, normally this doesn’t mean much with respect to a film premiering in English-speaking countries. However, Funimation has plans to show the film in select locations this May–first in the original Japanese on May 5th, then a dub release to follow two days later.
While we’ve gotten both an OVA prequel in Akito the Exiled, and a three part series of films retelling the original story with some additional tweaks, this film is meant to be the final part of the series, capping everything off.
