Mia’s Story Begins In A Preview Of Next Week’s Arrow

by Erik Amaya

Next week, Arrow will spend most of its time in 2040. Which means it will be in the strange position to flash back to events still in the present-day story’s future. There is term for that sort of thing, but since that usually gets used in an X-Men context, we’ll refrain from using it here. Instead, we’ll take note that this preview of next week’s show reveals the moment Mia’s (Katherine McNamara) story begins: her birth.

The rest of the episode will see Mia and William (Ben Lewis) making their way into the Glades and learning some “tragic” news from Dinah (Juliana Harkavy), Roy (Colton Haynes) and Zoe (Andrea Sixtos). Will it turn out Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is well and truly dead twenty years in the future?
Meanwhile, this week’s episode is another one of those connective tissue episodes. The accord between the SCPD and Team Arrow needed to happen, but it was still an unremarkable series of events. The flashfowards with William and Mia were far more interesting.
Arrow airs Mondays on The CW.
