Satan Worshipping And Dirty Diapers: Preview Belzebubs From JP Ahonen & Top Shelf

Starting off as a a few doodles, then evolving into to a successful web comic a few years back by JP Ahonen (Sing No Evil) and now collected and published by Top Shelf, Belzebubs, “combines relatable slice-of-life humor with over-the-top occult antics and references from metal music to Lovecraftian horror, making Belzebubs a devil of a good time.” Its a fun concept and takes your typical American family as well as its values and beliefs and turns these on their head, with hilarious results.  Here’s a brief preview of this new release out this week, with guest star Becky Cloonan.

Belzebubs is a “trve kvlt mockumentary” focusing on the everyday challenges of family life: raising kids, running a small business, and making time for worship. Except the kids are named Lilith and Leviathan, the business is a black-metal band, and the worship… isn’t exactly aimed upstairs.
