A Girl And Her Narwhal In Seafoam: A Friend For Madison
by James Ferguson
Sometimes you hear a pitch and instantly know what you’re getting into. That’s the case with Seafoam: A Friend for Madison, coming in May from Action Lab Entertainment. Written and illustrated by Jeanine-Jonee with additional colors by Kyle P. Holland, the comic follows 9-year-old Madison O’Brien after she rescues a magical narwhal, named Blue and is granted passage to an island full of mystical and nautical themed creatures. What’s not to love about this?
Seafoam: A Friend for Madison is full of magic, adventure, monsters, and mermaids. Madison’s perspective on these creatures changes Blue and the island for the better. It comes straight from the heart of a ‘90s kid who grew up on Saturday morning cartoons. Each issue tells a self-contained story, so it’s easy for anyone to jump into the series at any time.
Seafoam: A Friend for Madison #1 will feature a cover by Jeanine-Jonee and another by Kyle P. Holland. It’s set for release on May 29th, 2019 and is currently available for pre-order.
