Ray Faces Demonic Possession On Next Week’s Legends Of Tomorrow

by Erik Amaya

Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) is one of the best people on Earth-1, so it makes perfect sense the demon Neron would seek to possess him and hide in plain sight. But as this preview of next week’s Legends of Tomorrow indicates, taking control of Ray will not be easy. Then again, keeping a possessed Ray under control will not be an easy job for the Legends either. Will they find a way to extract Neron from Ray before Tabitha finds another host?

Meanwhile, this week was a delight with the Purgatory Ikea serving as the best place for Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) to have their long-delayed talk about domestic issues. And, really, there’s no better test of a relationship than building modular furniture. Nonetheless, the matters they discussed are a process, and one expects Ava will continue to feel some of the anxieties revealed to Sara during their escape from Tabitha and almost certain death. But the episode made a good case for the two of them overcoming just about any obstacle.
And, again, it is sort of amazing Legends has become a show that can devote so much screentime to a discussion about domesticity while still delivering the jokes, the character work, and the supernatural action it manages to cram into 48 minutes.
Legends of Tomorrow airs Mondays on The CW.
