Next Week’s Arrow Sees The Team Facing Impossible Odds

by Erik Amaya

Emiko (Sea Shimooka) dropped a building on Team Arrow. Oliver (Stephen Amell) is trapped under rubble and the rest of the team has just a few moments to rescue him. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is in SCPD custody thanks to Emiko implicating her in the cover-up of Roy’s (Colton Haynes) actions at the subway station. Will she be able to convince anyone in law enforcement of the real threat?

Meanwhile, Roy once again demonstrated that he is the most useless man in the DC Universe. I say that with love though as Roy is great, but his job is almost always to screw up the operation. This plan to stop the Ninth Circle was no different. In fact, it seems Emiko was counting on it. Is she in league with Thanatos, too? All the threads seem to be pulling together, so it is possible.
But it seem all of this is in the service of sending Felicity into long-term hiding. With Rickards leaving the series, it seems the season will end on her departure, leaving Emiko, the Ninth Circle and whatever is happening in the future for the final season next Fall. It may not be the ideal way to plot the season, but at least Ricardo Diaz is still dead.
Arrow airs Monday on The CW.
