Human Head Studios Brings ‘Rune II’ To The Epic Game Store
by Sage Ashford
Human Head Studios (Prey) has shown off a new trailer for their upcoming game, Rune II. Formerly Rune: Ragnarok, the game was first announced back in late 2017, and went into Early Access for Steam users back on September 19th of last year. This is the first major news we’ve heard about the title since then, which not only reveals Human Head has switched platforms, but re-titled the game now that they have a more concrete release date.
Human Head describes Rune II as follows:
Set in a dangerous Norse universe during the end of days, RUNE II is an epic action RPG where gods, beasts, and the last remaining humans struggle to survive.
You have been chosen by the gods to be Midgard’s savior – receive their blessings and powerful abilities as you endeavor to end Ragnarok! Race against time to prevent the trickster Loki from destroying Midgard as he keeps the world in a perpetual state of chaos.
Alone or with friends you will battle legions of Loki’s minions in brutal melee combat, travel the world collecting rare resources, locate precious artifacts to weaken the Realm Gate and craft the mightiest weapons the Nine Realms have ever seen.
Are you powerful enough to take down a god…or will a new age of darkness begin?
The game promises character customization, exploration, potential co-op experiences, and the ability to compete with the gods thanks to various relics scattered throughout the realm of Midgard.
Though there’s no firm release date for this game yet, Rune II will be available later this summer, exclusively for the Epic Games Store.
