Now is the perfect time to read Valiant, because of the diverse, inclusive content we have coming out from some of the industry’s top creators! Valiant goes all-out to create a fun, comprehensive, and exciting panel for fans (and the curious) with exclusive news about our upcoming titles, including new series for X-O Manowar and Bloodshot, who has a movie coming from Sony Pictures in 2020 starring action superstar Vin Diesel. We’ll show off sneak peeks of upcoming issues of current hit titles Livewire, Incursion, The Forgotten Queen, The Life and Death of Toyo Harada, and Fallen World, plus reveal behind-the-scenes information on soon-to-be-released books Psi-Lords and Killers.

Valiant Comics Marketing coordinator Gregg Katzman hosted A Valiant Uprising 2019 at Denver Pop Culture Con 2019. This panel was basically a check-in for the Valiant faithful, and also a short primer for new readers. Valiant has some very exciting new series dropping soon, and a few series that are only just a couple chapters in. This is a pretty decent time to get involved. Here’s a quick breakdown of the series featured in the panel:

A brand-new Doctor Mirage series will be conjured by Eisner Award-nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio (Eternity Girl), artist Nick Robles (Euthanauts), Eisner Award-nominated colorist Jordie Bellaire (The Vision), and letterer Dave Sharpe (Harley Quinn)!

How do you solve the case of your own death? Paranormal detective Doctor Shan Fong Mirage had the ability to see and talk to the dead. Except the dead have gone silent, their spirits mysteriously vanished, including Hwen, her deceased husband. Now, Doctor Mirage must face the most challenging question of her life: Is she dead but doesn’t know it?

Who are the cosmic beings known only as the Psi-Lords? And how will they change the course of the Universe in this brand-new ongoing series?

Four astronauts awake in an otherworldly prison with no memory of how they got there! What is their connection to the Psi-Lords? And how will they escape?

Fred Van Lente is crafting a lively sci-fi mystery, and Renato Guedes’ art is (literally) out of this world. Psi-Lords #1 drops 19 June, 2019.

New characters, new digs, same Punk attitude!

From writer Cullen Bunn (Venom) and artist Adam Gorham (New Mutants: Dead Souls) comes this hilariously horrifying tale. Punk Mambo is a hard-living voodoo priestess who grew up in London, then relocated to Louisiana’s Bayou Country. Now, she’s a mystical mercenary for hire.

In her first-ever solo series, Punk Mambo investigates a series of abductions in the New Orleans gutter punk scene, stumbling upon a deadlier mystery that takes her to the haunted shores of Haiti.

An all-new Bloodshot series by Tim Seeley and Brett Booth will hit the shelves in September 2019.

Your name is Angelo Mortalli. Your brother is trapped behind enemy lines and on the verge of — no. That’s not right. Your name is Raymond Garrison. You’ve retired from the dangers of the field, but a desperate plea from your oldest friend plunges you into a vicious firefight that — no. That’s not right, either.

You are Bloodshot. You are the shade of gray that freedom requires. The perfect confluence of military necessity and cutting-edge technology. A walking WikiLeaks that is a reservoir of dirty secrets that could set the world on fire. And you’ve just been captured.

There’s also a Sony Pictures Bloodshot film releasing in early 2020, starring one of those dudes from The Fast and The Furious.

In The Forgotten Queen, an ancient evil stirs, as superstar-in-the-making Tini Howard (Captain America Annual #1, Assassinistas) and powerhouse artist Amilcar Pinna (Generation X) unleash hell in a brand-new saga of honor, love, and savagery that’s centuries in the making!

Long ago, the mighty generals of the Mongol Empire rode from Siberia to Carpathia and conquered all who stood in their way. Legends tell of a witch who walked with them, who could infect the hearts of any warriors in her midst with an unquenchable thirst for battle and bloodshed…a War-Monger. And now she is walking again.

From rising star Vita Ayala (Supergirl) and astounding artists Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín (SECRET WEAPONS) comes Livewire, an electrifying new series that will launch the Valiant Universe into a new age of champions!

Accomplice. Mentor. Savior. And now, Enemy of the State. Seeking to protect other vulnerable super-powered psiots like herself, Livewire plunged the United States into a nationwide blackout with her technopathic abilities, causing untold devastation. After choosing the few over the many, she must now outrun the government she served – and those she once called allies. With the whole world hunting her, what kind of hero will Livewire be…or will she be one at all?

From celebrated writer Andy Diggle (Shadowman), rising star Alex Paknadel (Friendo), and legendary artist Doug Braithwaite (X-O Manowar) comes Incursion, a story that will rock the Valiant Universe across dimensions!

Beyond the margins of human reason lies a realm known as the Deadside, where the souls of the dearly departed linger – and where demons wait for us in the dark. For countless ages, Earth’s chosen protectors have guarded the veil between both worlds – but there are other doors to the Deadside, through which gruesome terrors from galaxies untold can trespass… With the planet’s freedom at stake, can the reigning Geomancer and her steadfast Eternal Warrior stand together against an invasion unlike any they’ve ever witnessed?

The Life and Death of Toyo Harada places the planet’s most powerful man in the spotlight as he strives to control the course of history. But with the menacing mastermind’s resources dwindling after the downfall of the Harbinger Foundation and a target on his head, will the formidable psiot re-emerge as humanity’s greatest hero…or its most dangerous villain?

Wait, did THAT really just happen in the last cliffhanger? Oh, man…

Can Toyo’s team recover or will they never be the same again?

Trust us, you don’t want to miss the acclaimed limited series about the world’s most powerful man.

n the year 4002, a cyborg samurai named Rai struggles to find his morality, while the nanite-filled supersoldier Bloodshot is on a mission to save the citizens of Earth. Will they work together for the greater good? All signs point to no.

Oh, and did we mention there are also dinosaurs on the loose and powerful animal-human hybrid mutants? Good luck with that, Rai.

Love smart sci-fi and engrossing world-building? Dan Abnett (Aquaman) and Adam Pollina’s (X-Force) Fallen World has you covered.

In B.Clay Moore and Fernando Dagnino’s brand new series Killers, five deadly assassins are recruited into a game of cat and mouse by their former sensei, the mysterious Jonin!

But what does the Jonin want from them, and what do they gain out of helping him?

Each of these assassins can channel their ki—the spiritual energy within all beings—in different ways, granting them incredible powers, essentially making them “superninjas”!

And then there was this. Just an image. No explanation. Take from that what you will.
