A First Look At ‘Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’ Gameplay
by Sage Ashford
At the PC Gaming Show, Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs unveiled the first look at gameplay for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, a game based on White Wolf’s popular PnP “World of Darkness” setting. Set in Seattle, the story begins with your character being transformed into a vampire among countless others in an act of “vampire terrorism”. With Seattle split into several territories, each controlled by different clans of vampires, the main character has to learn to survive in a new world where they’re viewed as outsiders.
The gameplay trailer gives players a glimpse at some of the vampire powers available, following a quest given by someone in one of the clans, asking you to hunt down a certain vampire. The route taken leads to negotiations with numerous other characters in the game, which can also drag the player into several combat scenarios. They also show off some of the expansive dialogue options in the game, which lends to the deep, immersive role-playing experience Paradox and Hardsuit are looking to create.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 2020.
