SDCC 2019: 2 Custom Interactive In-Booth Activities & More From LEGO
by Gary Catig
San Diego Comic Con is finally here and LEGO wanted to share what you can expect from them during the pop culture centric show. We have been showing many of the products they will have. This includes their exclusive Captain Marvel, Batman and Star Wars exclusive sets, their exclusive Spider-Man, Batman and Stranger Things minifigure and their upcoming sets they will display from Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars and Overwatch.
In addition, you can find at their booth, Booth #2829, the previously mentioned life sized Sith Trooper, and also LEGO versions of Batman and Iron Man. They will also have two fully interactive and custom in-booth activities.
- LEGO Comic Creation Stations – Build Your Own Comic
Fans can put themselves in the center of the action of their very own custom comic book! First, fans will create a custom digital minifigure character. Next, they’ll be able to choose a theme for their comic, courtesy of partners at DC, MARVEL and Lucasfilm. Finally, after answering a few questions to help guide the story, fans receive a limited-edition physical comic book, featuring the first appearance of their custom minifigure character. - LEGO Brick Boxes – Capture Custom Minifigure in Brick-Built Dioramas
This new interactive exhibit is designed through the eyes of the LEGO minifigure. Attendees can build a custom minifigure and capture custom content in a series of 18 minifigure sized brick-built art installations created by various LEGO artists, featuring both familiar and new fantasy worlds – including Star Wars, DC, MARVEL and more.
For a chance to win the exclusive minifigures, line up in the Sails Pavilion to enter an instant giveaway. Drawings begin at 9:30 am each day with Spider-Man available Thursday and Zebra Batman on Saturday.
LEGO will also have one panel on Saturday, July 20, in room 6A. It will be the first cross franchise panel to discuss current and upcoming content. If you’re not fortunate enough to make it to SDCC, you can follow @Lego_Group on twitter to keep up with all the news and even chances to win the convention exclusives.
