The Countdown To Rise Of Skywalker Begins In IDW’s Star Wars Adventures #27

Marvel may publish the ‘grown up’ Star Wars comics, but it looks like IDW and their more child-friendly Star Wars Adventures will have it’s own story to tell in the run up to this December’s Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, featuring the Wookies of Kasshyyyk.
Issue #27 will debut a three-part monthly storyline by writer John Barber and artist Derek Charm, featuring the mighty Wookiees. With the New Republic devastated, the First Order launches an attack on the planet Kashyyyk, and Chewbacca takes up arms to defend his people.
Plus, there’ll be a back-up strip written by Michael Moreci and illustrated by Tony Fleecs in which R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8 team-up as they embark on a desperate recruiting campaign for the Resistance.
It’s all kicking off in issue#27 of IDW’s Star Wars Adventures as we countdown to the finale in this most recent trilogy in the Star Wars saga.
