New Horror Title Mercy By Mirka Andolfo Is Like Dark Shadows Meets Penny Dreadful

Bestselling creator, Mirka Andolfo (Unnatural), has a new comic coming out, but it’s coming out in Italy first from Panini, before being translated and published by Image in the US of A next year. Promising to be something akin to Penny Dreadful meets Dark Shadows, this seemingly Victorian-era horror will also get a French release from France from Glénat next year too. So, everyone’s happy. Well, if you speak French, Italian or English, that is.
Set in the fictional small town of Woodsburgh during the Klondike Gold Rush, Mercy introduces main character Lady Hellaine—an “inhuman” woman—who is always seen with her butler, Mr. Goodwill…
Mercy explores topics of “otherness,” damnation and redemption, and what it means to be a monster in a horror tale perfect for fans of Penny Dreadful, Crimson Peak,The Alienist, Parasol Protectorate, and Dark Shadows.
