Hughie Gets His Motivation In A Final NSFW Preview Of The Boys

by Erik Amaya

Amazon’s adaptation of The Boys hits screens this Friday, and to celebrate, the streaming service has unleashed one final NSFW trailer featuring some harsh language and one harsh visual. It happens to be the very moment in which Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) world changes and one showrunner Eric Kripke told fans at Comic-Con that artist Darick Robertson hoped would remain in tact in the television show. And as you can see below, some of the details may be different, but Hughie’s introduction to the world of supers remains a visceral shock.

Based on the comic book series by Robertson and writer Garth Ennis, Quaid and Karl Urban star as members of a human vigilante squad who take policing superhero into their own hands. And in a world in which supers are more like sports celebrities or Instagram influencers, the Boys will have their hands full. But is it possible one of them is taking things too far? The series also features Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Elisabeth Shue as further members of the Boys and The Seven; the elite superhero team Urban’s character hopes to bring down.
The series debuts July 26th on Amazon.
