Russi Taylor the iconic voice of Minnie Mouse has just passed away. Fans may be surprised to know that Taylor was married in real life to Mickey Mouses’ original voice actor Wayne Allwine. Those that knew the couple said that they had never seen two people more in love. That affection is present in Taylor’s portrayal of Minnie as an embodiment of love in its purest form. The animated short Carried Away features Taylor’s last performance as Minnie.
Disney’s latest iteration of Mickey Mouse Shorts have been nothing short of brilliant. I’m glad they were able to send of one of the greats in style. Rest in peace Taylor and thanks for all the songs.
