Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and the LEGO Group frequently collaborate to bring pop culture franchises like Star Wars, Marvel and DC to video games with the iconic building block aesthetic. Back in 2015, LEGO Jurassic World was released to coincide with the feature film on all the consoles at the time. It was recently announced that the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2019.
Fans can play through and relive memorable scenes from the first four Jurassic Park films and also explore the expansive islands of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna. In total, there are 20 story levels to complete and players can call upon popular characters like Dr. Ian Malcolm, Owen Grady and more to collect valuable amber containing dinosaur DNA. The DNA can then be used to unlock different dinosaur body parts, colors and abilities to allow customization or a variety of LEGO dinosaurs that can be used play in the game as well.
The Switch version supports handheld mode and can be playable on the upcoming Nintendo Switch Light. In addition, three previously released DLC packs will be offered including:
– Jurassic World DLC Pack: Gives players access to six new characters, two new vehicles, the JURASSIC Response Unit, the JURASSIC WORLD Shuttle, and more.
– Jurassic Park Trilogy Pack #1: Grants access to three characters and one vehicle including, Dino Handler, Eric Kirby and Paul Kirby, and the Animal Control Vehicle.
– Jurassic Park Trilogy Pack #2: Provides access to three characters and one vehicle including Jurassic Park Helicopter Pilot, Lex and Tim Murphy, and Dr. Ian Malcolm’s convertible.
