Kevin Conroy To Make Live Action Bruce Wayne Debut During “Crisis”
by Erik Amaya
The upcoming Arrowverse crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths” will fulfill a lot of DCTV fan’s wishes, but none may be more epic than the one about to happen for longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy.
According to Batman-News.com, the actor, who first began playing the part with 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series, will appear on screen as Bruce Wayne during the crossover event. Initially announced as a “special guest appearance as Bruce Wayne from the future,” it was unclear if he was another voice role, but the actor subsequently took to Twitter to clarify that his appearance will be “finally, on screen.”
Since Batman: The Animated Series, Conroy has reprised the role on animated series like Justice League, the Batman: Arkham video games, various direct-to-video animated films and, of course, the Batman Beyond series; in which he played an older Bruce Wayne from the future.
Speculation is already brewing that he is in fact playing the Beyond Bruce Wayne. And with “Crisis” already planning to feature Brandon Routh as the Kingdom Come Superman and Batman ’66 star Burt Ward in an undisclosed role, we’re prepared to believe Conroy is reprising this specific take on the character for the event.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” airs in December.
