Studios has shared an early preview of The Art (And Many Other Mistakes) of Eric Powell, including scandalous tales, family gossip, illegally obtained medical records, behind-the-scenes character designs, sketches, and illustrations from the acclaimed writer and artist. The art book is due out in December 2019, celebrating years of low art and high art, failure and success, and more.

This collection is described as half graphic memoir and half art book. It takes you back to the early days of Eric Powell’s career as an artist through the rough and tumble cartooning that led to the creation of The Goon. Dive into the deliberate and painstaking process of becoming a renowned comic book creator as recalled by the artist himself and some of his delinquent friends. Also including in this art book are never-before-seen childhood drawings, early super hero test pages, film poster art, and the establishment of Powell’s own publishing house, Albatross Funnybooks.
