NYCC 2019: Exclusive DC/Dark Horse Figures From NECA

by Gary Catig

DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics are currently collaborating on a Black Hammer/Justice League series but that is not the first time the two publishers have worked together. Toy company, NECA, has created sets that harken back to those past partnerships and they will be NYCC exclusives this year.
The first announced set is related to a 1997 mash up between Batman and Aliens where the Caped Crusader tangles with Xenomorphs engineered with DNA from Arkham Asylum inmates. These are brand new 7” figures with more than 30 points of articulation. Batman comes with a fabric cape and “Joker” Alien has a bendable tail.

The second set is a Green Lantern and “Sinestro Corps” Predator 2-pack from a 2008 story arc where the fearsome alien hunters join the Sinestro Corp and attack Earth.  Like the first set, these are brand new figures with over 30 points of articulation. The Green Lantern has interchangeable head sculpts and comes with lamp, attachable burst effects and interchangeable hands while the Predator comes with two heads, detachable backpack, interchangeable hands, sword, spear and more.

You can purchase either set from the NECA booth, Booth # 110 for $60 each. For those not attending the show, they will be up for pre-sale but can only be purchased as a bundle for $120. The pre-sale is September 5 and 6. A set amount of stock is available each day and sales will begin at 1pm EST (10 am PST) at the NECA Store. Take note that they are only shipping to U.S. addresses beginning the week after NYCC and there is a limit of two items per household. In addition, duplicate and bot orders will be immediately cancelled.
