Birds Of Prey Teaser To Play Only In Theaters Despite Leak

If you are a savvy Internet person, you’ve already seen the teaser for Warner Bros. Pictures’ forthcoming Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The video was leaked to the internet and posted to several accounts on a certain video service. If you haven’t seen it yet, seek it out and take a look.

Or you could just wait until you go to see It: Chapter 2 in theaters. Variety reports the trailer will be part of the studio’s new initiative to debut trailer in theaters as opposed to the more recent trend of posting the video to official YouTube channels. The decision makes the Birds of Prey teaser’s inclusion It-style red balloons make more sense. Harley (Margot Robbie) is having a laugh at the expense of Warner’s two high profile clown characters: Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) and Joker (played by both Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix).

The rest of the trailer is lean on details and high on style, though, and will make for an interesting appetizer in front of It: Chapter 2.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) opens on February 7th, 2020.
