ComiXology Originals are debuting yet another all-new creator-owned series this week with Quarter Killer #1 from co-writers Vita Ayala and Danny Lore, with art by Jamie Jones, and lettering by Ryan Ferrier. Previewed below, it’s the cyberpunk-themed story of a hacker who only wants paying in quarters, because they’re untraceable!
Meet Quentin Kidd AKA QK, an ex-corporate computer hacker who offers their services to those willing to pay them with old skool currency, specifically quarters, because quarters are untraceable. QK only has two rules: they don’t work for criminals or police, and no killing.
Ayala expands on this basic premise with the following analogy:
Quarter Killer started with the concept of Robin Hood in the hood, but cyberpunk and brown. When not working, QK tends to help solve problems around the hood, and help their friends keep out of trouble.
As usual with debut issues on ComiXology Originals it’ll be free to Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and ComiXology Unlimited members, and also available for purchase on Kindle and ComiXology. But, this preview give soy the chance to try before you buy.
