Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Reveals Cal’s Mission

EA recently revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars game, Jedi: Fallen Order. The trailer goes deeper into the story of Cal Kestis. EA has more on it below:

In the Galactic Empire, the Inquisitorius has only one mission: seek out and destroy all remnants of the Jedi Order. Learn more about what Cal Kestis is searching the galaxy for and why the Empire will stop at nothing to bring him down.

Despite Fallen Order only being a couple months away, it really feels like there hasn’t been much discussion about this game.  It was revealed at E3 last year, we went forever without hearing about it, then suddenly it was at E3 and since then this is our first time seeing it again.
Having said that, there’s no denying this trailer is at 3 million views and it hasn’t even been up a week yet. This makes EA look all the worse for not finding a way to capitalize on this property quicker. It feels like they’ve done far less work promoting this game than something like Greedfall, or The Outer Worlds, or other far less well known games that are new IPs.  But no one cares because it’s Star Wars and the Star Wars fans are going to come out for it.  They’re craving a brand-new Star Wars experience, even as the movies get all these polarizing responses.   It feels like they could’ve made room for at least another two games besides the existing two and this one, yet somehow they all got delayed.  A studio was even canned over this Star Wars stuff.
Ultimately, how this game will be received remains to be seen. They’re making so much of the game’s difficulty, but that doesn’t necessarily appeal to casual gamers, and if it’s not perfectly balanced it’s going to frustrate people who want a challenging but fair game. It’s quite the tightrope to walk, but hopefully the people at Respawn have already figured it all out.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releases on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 15th.
