A World Of Magic & Monsters Awaits In Folklords #1 First Look

Folklords from writer Matt Kindt and artist Matt Smith takes us to a world full of magic and monsters next month. Publisher Boom! Studios has provided an advanced preview of the first issue, following a young man on a forbidden quest that reveals the shocking truth about this world, turning everything he knew upside down.

Folklords centers on Ansel, an outsider haunted by visions of well-pressed suits and modern technology. When he turns 18 he must declare his Quest so he decides to seek out the Folklords, a legend that is only spoke about in hushed whispers, but one that Ansel hopes can explain his visions. This is a forbidden search though and a rogue quest is punishable by death.
Boom! Studios has also released a trailer giving us a further taste of the upcoming series.

Folklords #1 features a main cover by Matt Smith, a variant by Duncan Fegredo, and a recently announced variant by Dan Mora. It’s set for release on November 13th, 2019.
