Cisco Powers Come Back To Haunt Him In A Preview Of Next Week’s Flash

by Erik Amaya

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) may have taken the meta cure, but this preview for next week’s episode of The Flash suggests his ability to vibe still remains. In fact, Breacher (Danny Trejo) returns from Earth-19 to tell him his perception of reality is changing because of his attempt to suppress his powers. Will Vibe return in time to help out during the Crisis? Also, where are Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candace Patton) going for their last vacation? And, while we’re asking questions, isn’t Earth-19 in the path of the antimatter wave right now?

And it seems the horror elements introduced by Ramsey (Sendhil Ramamurthy) will continue. It’s a nice change of pace for The Flash — provided they can integrate it better into the story, of course. Considering this week’s strongest scene, the talk between Barry and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) had nothing to do with the Bloodwork story, we’re not sure the episode was as effective as it could’ve been. That said, all of the scenes revealing Joe, Cisco, and Ralph’s (Hartley Sawyer) discomfort with letting Barry die is great stuff. It just didn’t seem of a piece with Bloodwork’s slide into horror. Hopefully, next week’s focus on Cisco will help smooth that out.

The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
