Synder, Soule And Camuncoli’s Undiscovered Country #1 Set For A Second Printing After 85K+ Sales
by Olly MacNamee
Launching as the highest ordered Image Comics debut in nearly five years with orders at over 85K, co-writers Scott Synder, Charles Soule and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli’s Undiscovered Country #1 has sold out. So, off to the printers it does go for a second printing.
In Undiscovered Country, readers journey into an unknown region that was once the United States of America—a land that’s become shrouded in mystery and literally walled-off from the rest of the world for decades. A small expedition enters the former US in search of a cure to a humanity-ending pandemic. They travel inward and learn the secrets of what America has become; each member seeking their own form of truth in the undiscovered country.
Obviously the creators are amazed. Soule stated that,”the response to Undiscovered Country at all levels has blown my mind,” with Synder expressing he was, “just floored,” and Camuncoli adding, on behalf of everyone, I imagine, that he just wanted, “to thank every single one of you out there, friends and readers and colleagues, who either bought the book or sent us their love through the internet or at conventions: your support has been fundamental for us.”
Undiscovered Country #1 Second Printing will be out Wednesday, December 4.
