Dynamite Re-Releases Warren Ellis’ James Bond In New Versions

by James Ferguson

If you missed out on Warren Ellis’ run on James Bond, Dynamite Entertainment has a way for you to catch up with two new re-releases. The publisher has announced an oversized hardcover collection with James Bond: The Complete Warren Ellis Omnibus, including all 12 issues that started the character’s return to comics back in 2015, with artwork by Jason Masters. This features the entire VARGR and Eidolon story arcs, plus every cover for the series with artwork from Jock, Francesco Francavilla, Dominic Reardon, Joe Jusko, Ben Oliver, Glenn Fabry, Dan Panosian, Robert Hack, and more.

Warren Ellis says:

It was my honour to become the first Official Continuation graphic novelist for the Ian Fleming Estate, and my pleasure to see my wonderful partners at Dynamite Comics collect Jason Masters’ world-class work in this new edition.

If you’d like to try out these stories before taking the deep dive into the omnibus, the publisher is reprinting the first issue in a Dynamite Dollar Edition. It will also include information on the further adventures of James Bond such as the current series from writers Vita Ayala and Danny Lore and artist Eric Gapstur.

Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher says:

Warren and Jason were outstanding on the series. It still stands as one of the highest watermarks of my career. As a certain monumental film approaches in the spring, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to put together a perfect package for collectors and expose a whole new audience to this classic work.

The James Bond: The Complete Warren Ellis Omnibus and the James Bond #1 Dynamite Dollar Edition are set for release in February 2020. They’re both currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop. The former can also be ordered on Amazon.
