A New Dawn Begins For Cable In New Ongoing Series This March

by James Ferguson

A new adventure awaits mutantkind’s toughest soldier. Marvel Comics has announced Cable, a new ongoing series following the son of Cyclops with a new lease on life on Krakoa, but still looking for trouble. Written by Gerry Duggan and illustrated by Phil Noto, the comic stars the younger version of Cable as he looks to embrace his destiny, taking other young mutants like Pixie and Armor along for the ride. Will he save mutantkind or spark rebellion? Why not a little of both?

Artist Phil Noto says:

I’m thrilled to be back working in the X-Universe and very happy to get the band back together with my buddy, Gerry Duggan. Cable’s always been a favorite of mine and it’s fun to work in a painterly style again ala Black Widow. Very excited for people to read this book. I think we’re doing something really special. Stay tuned!

Cable sounds like a fun, adventurous comic so I’m definitely looking forward to what comes of it. I absolutely love Noto’s cover for the first issue as it resembling an old exploitation era film poster. Dawn of X is offering the opportunity for tons of new X-books and this is definitely one of them. Cable #1 is set to debut in March 2020.
