Dying Light 2 Delayed
by Sage Ashford
Techland’s sequel to the popular open world zombie game, Dying Light, is the latest to join the ever-growing group of games delaying its release date and leaving the first half of the year a quieter time for games. Originally planned for Spring 2019, the game now has no confirmed release date, as Techland cited a need for “more development time”. The company offered a statement regarding the delay on Twitter:

The previous Dying Light was Techland’s most successful game to date, landing at Number 1 on sales charts in several different regions including the UK and the US and selling over five million copies. Dying Light 2 was meant to be a leap forward, with a story from writer Chris Avellone (Fallout: New Vegas, Divinity II) — putting a focus on narrative combined with the game’s first-person parkour gameplay.
This was our last look at the game, which showed off the world, characters, and the potential choices a player could make in the game that would alter the world around them. Dying Light 2 will hopefully come out later this year.
