Go ‘Berserk’ For These New Bookends From Dark Horse Direct
by James Ferguson
Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun for the headline. Dark Horse Direct has revealed new limited edition bookends based on Gut’s sword, Dragon Slayer from Kentaro Miura’s Berserk. Only 1,000 are available.
This set is meticulously sculpted and hand-painted. They’re made of polyresin and measure 7” tall by 5” wide and between 9” and 10” long each. When placed together, they’re about 19” long. They were sculpted by Bigshot Toyworks with prototype paints by Ed Bradley.
I will admit that I’m not that familiar with Berserk, but seeing something like this definitely piques my interest. These bookends are expected to ship to customers this Summer. They can be pre-ordered from Direct.DarkHorse.com and cost $199.99. Just in case you need something to put in between them, Dark Horse also has the first three deluxe editions of Berserk available now.
