‘Joe Death’ Presents a New Kind of Hero

When you hear something described as a mix of Mike Mignola, A Fistful of Dollars, and Johnny Cash’s Ghost Riders in the Sky, you pay attention. That’s the way Dark Horse Comics described Joe Death and the Graven Image, a new original graphic novel from Benjamin Schipper focused on the gray man, consequential king, Joseph Bones, Shadow of Death. That’s quite a long moniker.
Joe’s used to cleaning up messes, coming into town to take care of what’s left during a massacre. Scary Harry is another story. Somehow he’s got a chance to steal life from death and restore himself to the straight and narrow.
Joe Death and the Graven Image clocks in at 152 pages and will retail for $19.99. It’s set for release on September 30th, 2020 and is currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop, bookstore, and Amazon.
