Using An Alien’s Powers To Improve The World…Maybe In ‘Alienated #2’ First Look

Alienated burst on the scene with an impressive debut issue and multiple sell-outs. Publisher BOOM! Studios has shared an early preview of the second issue, due out next month which you can check out below. The series is a subversive coming-of-age story about having the power to change the world but the unready hands to truly wield it. It has a bit of a Chronicle feel to it too, which I really dig.

After outcast teens Samuel, Samantha, and Samir find an adorable but dangerous alien creature in the woods and name him Chip, they bond over their shared secret. But as the pressures of hiding an actual alien mount, they each begin to fantasize about how to use Chip’s strange powers to improve the world—starting with their current lives.

Alienated #2 is written by Simon Spurrier, illustrated by Chris Wildgoose, colored by Andre May, and lettered by Jim Campbell. It features a main cover by Wildgoose and a variant cover by Joe Quinones. It’s set for release on March 18th, 2020.
