PAX East 2020: ‘SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated’ Preview

Video games based on cartoons have largely been ignored, but I have fond memories of many of the games based on Nick cartoons. The video games for The Fairly Odd Parents were a blast while Take and The Power of Juju was a gorgeous platformer.
It appears I’m not alone in my fondness for Nick games because SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is getting an HD re-release. The Spongebob games always had a sense of fun and ingenuity. I hope this will lead to more HD remakes or a brand new Spongebob title. The game for the Spongebob movie was criminally underrated.
