‘Outer Darkness/CHEW’ #1 Second Printing Cover By Afu Chan Revealed

by Olly MacNamee

We brought you the news that John Layman, Afu Chan and Rob Guillory’s Outer Darkness/CHEW #1 had sold out, while announcing his new CHEWnivesre title, CHU, and now we get the cover for the second issue, coming out from Image/Skybound on April 1st. I must say,

Tony Chu is a modern-day cop who gets psychic impressions from what he eats. Joshua Rigg is a 28th-century starship captain who flies through an outer space filled with demons, monsters, and ghosts. Sounds like a perfect recipe for a comic book crossover, don’t it? Join the fun with Outer Darkness/Chew #1.

You can read up on our advance review of the first issue here and all our Outer Darkness here, if you’re late to the party. And, judging by the sell out success of this first cross-over issue, there’s a few of you out there. You don’t know what you’ve been missing, but welcome aboard!

As an extra treat to brighten up your day, here’s CHEW character designs as imagined by Outer Darkness’s Afu Chan. I think they’re pretty spiffy and could well signal their inclusion in the subsequent issue of this 3 part mini-series.
