Jupiter Rises Again In ‘Modern Godhood’ On Kickstarter

by James Ferguson

Ancient myths get a present day reboot in Modern Godhood, a one-shot crossover between Reclaiming Godhood and Modern Testament. Currently on Kickstarter, the comic follows the Roman God Jupiter after he was stripped of his immortality and banished to earth. His powers are now restored and he listens for prayers of mortals in needed, helping where he can.

The one-shot from writers Braiden Cox and Frank Martin, artists Kieran Squires, Axel Perez, and Kelly Chandra, colorists Matt Van Gorkom, Lorenzo Stella, and Rifan, and cover artist Chinedu Campbell features three all-new short stories as Jupiter faces new supernatural challenges. These include a brothel run by Lilith, a dimension ravaged by the Beast of Revelation, and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
The Kickstarter campaign runs through April 30th, 2020. Rewards include digital and physical copies of the comic itself, as well as catch-up copies of Modern Testament and Reclaiming Godhood, writer’s commentary, commissions, and getting drawn into the comic itself.
