A Night At The Club Leads To Some Familiar Faces On The Next Batwoman

On the next episode of Batwoman, Kate (Ruby Rose) and her team make for the club — but it’s not all fun and games as they’re searching for a missing piece of the Batman’s arsenal. And as this preview for next week’s show indicates, it will be a reunion of sorts as Reagan (Brianne Howey) is tending bar at the club and Magpie (Rachel Matthews) leaves Arkham on her first mission for Alice (Rachel Skarsten).
Also, it will be Mary’s (Nicole Kang) first night out as a member of the team. We have to admit, we always expected Kate and Mary to have a more emotionally explosive moment of revelation than the one in this week’s episode — and that’s considering Mary’s clinic blew up around them just a few moments earlier. Then again, maybe it needed to be more understated and feature Mary’s emotional intelligence. She knew exactly what Kate needed to hear in that moment. Perhaps that will be one of Mary’s functions going forward: helping Kate with the emotional stuff Luke (Camrus Johnson) also struggles with.
Speaking of Luke, it was pretty handy that his need for revenge helped Kate get a handle on her trauma in regards to killing Cartwright. It may not be the sort of team-building exercise Bruce, Alfred, or Lucius might have planned, but it seems Kate’s bonds with the people who know her secret will be stronger in the remaining episodes of the season.
Of course, it will be interesting to see what Julia (Christina Wolfe) does with the secret as she gets closer to Sophie (Meagan Tandy). Will it lead to Sophie accepting the truth about Kate later on? Or will it matter as their chemistry becomes more important?
