’13: The Astonishing Lives of the Neuromantics’ A Sci-Fi Body-Harvesting Thriller Previewed

by Olly MacNamee

If there’s one thing this current medical crisis has taught me is that there are an awful lot of professionally produced comics by a number of under-the-radar comic book publishers of all stripes, using a number of distributions including crowdfunding and digital releases. We’ve taken a good look at a large number out there already, but there are still a good many we are only just stumbling on. And, with this being new comic book day (unless, DC Comics get their way and force the rest of the industry to move to Tuesday, as they have with their new distributors), it’s worth offering up a few new digital comic books releases out there. Especially as many comic book stores remain closed.

We start by offering you a preview of 13: The Astonishing Lives of the Neuromantics by writer/artist Yves Navant coming from LTGB+ publishers Northwest Press and available on comiXology from today, Wednesday 29th April. Check out a preview of this sci-fi space opera/hero’s quest:

“13” is a space opera that evokes Heavy Metal in its sexuality, innovation, and flat-out strangeness. In a future beset by poverty and subjugation, the privileged live in orbital penthouses and use the underclasses for parts. One young man has his arms taken from him and undertakes an epic journey to become whole.

This title is also available to buy as a physical copy from the Northwest Press website, or ask for a copy to be ordered by your local comic book store.
