AHOY Comics Cheekily Announce A National Dragonflyman Day For Bookstore Release Of Latest Trade
by Olly MacNamee
While you can grab your copy of the Dragonfly & Dragonflyman trade paperback from any comic book stores open, book stores won’t be getting their orders until June 16th. To make this day, AHOY Comics are forthwith announcing said day to forever more be known as Dragonflyman Day! Written by Tom Peyer, with art by Peter Krause, colorist Andy Troy, and letterer Rob Steen and collecting the recent Dragonfly & Dragonflyman 5 issue mini-series and last year’s Free Comic Book Day offering too.
AHOY Comics’ Publisher Hart Seely implores fans and retailer to get involved and have some fun. Party like you’re on Earth-Alpha!
We urge fans, comic book retailers, and people all around the globe to find their own ways to celebrate this most momentous occasion. Plan a coordinated release of a thousand dragonflies into the sky from the safety of your backyard — or create your own parallel world alter-ego from household items like sponge cake, papier machê, or those pants with the button you’ll never wear again! There’s no limit to the ways you can safely observe this historic day.
So, how will you be marking this all-new holiday? Maybe with your own home-made Dragonflyman bunting – decked out in purple and green – and your very own Ugly Bug Ball? However you spend the day, do it safely, won’t you? Either way, don’t for yet to pick up a copy of Dragonfly & Dragonflyman trade paperback white you’re at it.
