‘Wynonna Earp’ Sets A Season Four Debut For July 26th On Syfy

Let the Earpers rejoice!
After nearly losing Season 4 to a budgetary issues, Wynonna Earp is set to make its triumphant return to Syfy on July 26th. The series, based on the comics of Beau Smith, follow the travails of Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano), the ne’er-do-well descendant of Wyatt Earp, and her ersatz family as they attempt to keep demons, vampires, and other supernatural creatures from overrunning their hometown of Purgatory. She is aided by her half-sister Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chakley), town sheriff Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) — who also happens to be Waverly’s girlfriend — the quasi-immortal Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon), and former Black Badge Division analyst Jeremy (Varun Saranga). Season Three saw a lot of the show’s overarching story come to a head as the Earp group finally confronted the demon Bulshar and his plans for the Garden of Eden; which happens to be located near the Canadian border town. But it also left the series on a huge cliffhanger as both Waverly and Doc disappeared into the Garden. And thanks to the suggestion earlier on that it may not be Paradise, but instead a prison, the stakes have never been higher.
As the trailer reveals, Doc and Waverly will be saved from the Garden. But it seems Purgatory is more demon-infested than ever. What will it take for the Earp sisters to breath easy? And how will Wynonna save the day without Peacemaker, her trusty cosmic weapon?
Production on the fourth season was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but with filmming slated to resume later this summer, Syfy will air the first six episodes starting July 26th and ending with a mid-season finale on August 30th. And, as always, we’ll be there with our own thoughts on each episode. We’re staunch supporters of the program and its blend of comedy, sexiness, and supernatural craziness. And though we say this a lot about comic book television, we really cannot wait for this show to return.
Wynonna Earp finally returns on July 26th.
