Kirkman And Samnee’s ‘Fire Power’ #1 Has A New Cover And New Content But No Longer A Free Giveaway

by Olly MacNamee

Fire Power # by Robert Kirkman and Chris Samnee finally comes out on Wednesday, August 5th, and will now be priced at $3.99, featuring a new cover to the one previously announced when this debut issue was to be a freebie for Free Comic Book Day. For that $3.99 you will get additional content, but what that is has not yet been divulged.
Also out on the same date will be the second issue too, so you can really make a start with this new series from the co-creator of The Walking Dead and coming from Image Comics/Skybound. bUt then, that was the original publishing plan anyway, so at least that hasn’t changed.
“In Fire Power, the one who wields the fire power is destined to save the world, but Owen Johnson has turned his back on that life. He doesn’t want the power—he never did. He only wants to spend time with his family and live his life, but unseen forces are at work to make that impossible. Danger lurks around every corner as Owen’s past comes back to haunt him.”
Fire Power, Vol. 1: Prelude is available now and you can read our review here.
