I have to admit, DC Comics ahem done a great job of continuing to build up the hype for the forthcoming ‘Joker War’ with plenty of sneak peeks, first looks and previews. Ahead of the weekend, we have another bit of plucky PR with a first look at the gorgeous artwork of Jorge Jimenez in Batman #96.
Along with Guillem March, James Tynion IV’s rambunctious run on Batman certainly has a very distinct look from Tom King’s previous run, with the graphics better reflecting the higher octane tales Tynion IV has been writing. Brilliant! And to think, I nearly dropped this book after King’s departure. A time that has seen the writer really reach his potential.
By James Tynion IV, Jorge Jimenez and a Guillem March regular cover, available Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from DC Comics
