Crowdfunding Comics: Philip Bond Collects His Inktober Artwork In ‘Ink 12″ Volume 1’ Print Portfolio

by Olly MacNamee

Philip Bond, artist on such comics as Tank Girl, Kill Your Boyfriend,The Invisibles and Eve Stranger for the lamented Black Crown comic book imprint, has a nifty new Kickstarter happening at the moment which collects up some of the best of Bond’s 8cm square drawings over the last 6 year of Inktober, blow them up to 12″ (think vinyl LP covers sized) and print them onto high quality 80# (216gsm) solar white cover stock, and packaged in a stylish thick spined full-colour signed twelve-inch sleeve.

A portfolio of 12 different drawings from one of the 90s country-cultures best artists with lots of add-ons depending on what level you may want to consider pledging. For example, the $30 pledge offers up an additional new 40-page 7 inch booklet featuring more drawings, and one of 30 new original pieces produced daily during the Kickstarter called Aggregation #1. And, with each print being 12″ squared, you’ll find them easy to frame and hang too.

Check out all the pledges and rewards here now. You have just over 3 weeks left.
