‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ To Be Distributed As Video-On-Demand This September + New Trailer

As well as a new trailer dropping for Bill & Ted Face the Music come the news thatOrion Pictures have announced that they will be releasing this much-anticipated ‘threequel’ as video-on-demand (VoD) on September 2nd, starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.

Originally planned for release on Aug. 21, this is not the only film to have shifted to an online release during this current pandemic, and I doubt it will be the last.

Personally, I see comedic films like Bill & Ted Face the Music probably doing well on VoD, as it isn’t necessarily a genre that relies on big-screen aesthetics in the same way as an action film, or Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (which has been delayed yet again), does. It doesn’t need a big screen outing to do well, and I dare say as a moderately budgeted film, this is a pretty low risk gamble.

But, I suppose we’ll see whether this was a “most excellent” decision or not come September.
