Welcome to your Saturday afternoon ten-to-takeaway of the more popular post of the past week that have caught your discerning eye. Everything from Scott Snyder’s successful new Kickstarter to new that Swamp Thing is returning to the goggle box and everything in between too. So, Let’s begin shall we?
- Our regular Saturday afternoon slot, Art for Art’s Sake give you a chance to view some of the best comic book art from across the decades and from various comic book artists old and new, with last week’s giving us a look at art from the likes of Brian Bolland, Tony Moore, Christian Ward and more.
- I mentioned Scott Snyder’s new Kickstarter, Nocternal, above and vlogger Leonard Sultana (An English Man in San Diego) caught up with Snyder this week to talk about this new project as well as other things too. Well worth a view for any Scott Snyder fans out there.
- Another interview we featured last week was with comic book creator David Pepose, who also has a new Kickstarter campaign for The O.Z. – a comic that Pepose describes as if, “Mad Max: Fury Road and The Hurt Locker took place in The Wizard of Oz”. Check out the full interview here.
- Wolverine borrow a play from Harley Quinn with the announcement of a Wolverine: Black, White & Blood from Marvel Comics. Read more about this new series here.
- The news that the much loved but cancelled show, Swamp Thing, will be broadcast on television was announced this week and our EiC, Erik Amaya, posted more about it here.
- On the review front, we looked at a fair few this past week with a number standing out from the crowds, starting with Titan Comics’ Adler #3 by Lavie Tidhar and Paul McCaffrey.
- Brendan Allen took a look at The Immortal Hulk #36 here…
- And, Richard Bruton reviewed Harker: The Book of Solomon Book 1 here.

- Finally, on the collectible front, Gary Catig brought us the news that McFarlane Toys will be producing new 12″ Witcher action figure here.
