‘Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn #1’ Sells Out; 2nd Printing Coming

by James Ferguson

This past week saw the launch of Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn, a three-issue mini-series set in the world previously ruled over by the villainous Lord Drakkon. Publisher BOOM! Studios has announced the first issue has sold out at the distribution level. If you missed it, don’t worry as there’s a second printing on the way with a new cover by artist Dan Mora. Also, this is why you should pre-order your comics.

After the shocking events of Power Rangers: Ranger Slayer #1, Kimberly is determined to purge the terrifying hold that Drakkon has had over her world, starting with Deadlock; the prison tower where Drakkon held all those who opposed him. But even the Ranger Slayer has no clue of the true power kept in Deadlock—and what unlocking the doors will set into motion. As Kimberly investigates the worst of Drakkon’s secrets, she sets in motion Drakkon’s final plan—one that will pit her against a fan-favorite Power Rangers villain like you’ve never seen them before!

Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn is written by Anthony Burch, illustrated by Simone Ragazzoni, colored by Raul Angulo, and lettered by Ed Dukeshire. The second printing of the first issue is due out on September 16th, 2020.
