A New Kind Of Justice Is Served In ‘Spoiler For Michael’

by James Ferguson

Don’t do the crime if you don’t want to serve the time. That’s the old saying, right? Michael Cohen, former lawyer for Donald Trump is certainly learning that as he served time in federal prison for tax evasion and campaign finance violations. During that time, writer Matt Miner served him a different kind of justice by sending him postcards on a regular basis spoiling movies and TV shows he wouldn’t have access to while behind bars.

Miner has teamed up with frequent collaborator Sean Von Gorman to interpret how Cohen must have reacted every time a new postcard arrived in Spoilers for Michael, an 88-page premium full-color hardcover art book, now on Kickstarter. The book was brought together with design by Matt Krotzer.
“Getting caught has a weird way of magically turning bad people good, but we may not even have a country left because of Mike,” says Matt Miner. “Spoiling the Deadwood movie is literally nothing in comparison.”

This takes trolling to a whole new level. It’s an absolutely brilliant idea too. It’s like a crazy art project. Needless to say, if you haven’t seen the latest Star Wars movie, Knives Out, or the past few seasons of Game of Thrones or Stranger Things, be wary as they’ll be spoiled.
The Kickstarter campaign is running through October 14th, 2020. Rewards include digital and physical copies of the book itself and original artwork.
