Get Nostalgic About ‘The Monster Squad’ And Watch The Trailer For ‘Wolfman’s Got Nards’

by Erik Amaya

The Monster Squad is one of those terribly brittle 80’s flicks: you either saw it at a formative time in your life and love it or didn’t and don’t. But for those lucky enough to catch it on cable or score a copy of it on VHS, the film is precious.

And for the creators of the new documentary, Wolfman’s Got Nards, the experience of finding the film is as important as seeing it. From the following trailer, it’s clear that fans of the cult favorite get to their appreciation for it by various means. But once that bond is form, it leads them in strange directions.

Monster Squad star Andre Gower directs this look at the phenomenon, which is formed of interviews with fans during an anniversary road show tour of the film and various celebrity chats. It also features a look back with Monster Squad director Fred Dekker, who is still surprised the film found any sort of fanbase — let alone that it took 30 years to happen.

Wolfman’s Got Nards comes to various outlets on October 27th.
