2020 may be a horrible year for most of us, but it’s shaping up to be a banner one for Scout Comics. With a slew of new titles announced and launched and signing with Mosaic for film and TV representation, what else can it do? Well, launch an action figure / collectible toy company, of course. Scout has started up Tracker Collectibles, helmed by Phantom Starkiller and Count Draco Knuckleduster creator Peter Goral as CEO. This is how the Scout Comics merchandise division gets started.
“Joining forces with a hardworking and creative mind like Peter is an amazing get for Scout and our new merchandise division.” says Scout Comics President James Haick III said “I can’t wait to share some of the amazing plans we have for 2021 and beyond.”
“My keepsakes help drive my imagination and my office is literally littered with statues, cards, board games and action figures.” added Joseph Schmalke, who is brought on board as the Chief Creative Officer. “Being offered the ability to work with Scout’s vast catalog of IP opens up so much potential for high end collectibles and toys for people of all ages.”
Tracker’s initial launch offering includes two exclusive, limited edition figures. The first is a 5.5 inch soft vinyl figure of Goral’s Count Draco Knuckleduster, limited to only 100 for $59.99 each. The other is a 3 inch Ma-Va soft vinyl, three-colored marble, glow in the dark figure of Goral’s Phantom Starkiller, also limited to only 100 editions, but retailing for $39.99. Both figures will be enclosed in commemorative packaging, celebrating the launch.
These figures will be available through Scout’s website beginning on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 at 11 AM EST.
