Something For The Weekend: Top News, Reviews And Interviews From The Past Week

If you are a regular reader of this weekly Saturday column, you should know the drill by now. Ten-to-takeaway from the past week to entertain and inform you, on-the-go, at home or wherever you are. A mix of reviews, news and, this week, an interview too! Some you may have read, some you may have missed. So, let’s dive in, shall we, with a look at this week’s New to You Comics:

1. Brendan M Allen and Tony Thornley looked back at Image Comics Kill the Minotaur, by Chris Pasetto, Christian Cantamesa, and Lukas Ketner. Read their thoughts on this title here.
2. Here’s a strange thing. Last week’s Something for the Weekend column makes it onto our top ten list for the first time this week. Seems our drive to kickstart a few new regular columns in recent months is beginning to take root. Read up on what people were reading a week ago here.
3. Four reviews to share with you next. First up Rogue Planet #5 by Cullen Bunn and Andy MacDonald.
4. Next, a look at Stranger Things: Science Camp #1 from Dark Horse here.
5. We also looked at a new Kickstarter campaign from indie small press Reckless Hero. Knights vs. Pirates by Jay Martin, Chris Imber and Chris Jenkin. A very professional and high polished book with a very new spin on the arthurian legend. Read all about it here.

8. NYCC online will be taking place this weekend. A rather sore point as this was going to be the year I finally made it over to the Colonies and this con. Ah well, it could be worse. At least they’ve got events going on online, such as a behind the scenes look at Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal. Read more here.
