Oni-Lion Forge Postpones ‘The Tea Dragon Tapestry’ To June 2021

by James Ferguson

Originally slated for release this month, Katie O’Neill’s The Tea Dragon Tapestry has now been postponed to June 2021. Publisher Oni-Lion Forge cites concerns over print production standards as the reason for the delay. This is the third and final book in the Tea Dragon series.

“While we are extremely disappointed to be delaying such a highly anticipated book, it was an essential move to ensure that Katie’s gorgeous and heart-warming series finale arrived on bookshelves in a package worthy of her artistry and our high production standards,” commented publisher James Lucas Jones.

The Tea Dragon Society began as a webcomic before getting published in 2017. It has since spawned a card game and countless images of fan art and fan fiction.

Join Greta and Minette once more for the heartwarming conclusion of the award-winning Tea Dragon series! Over a year since being entrusted with Ginseng’s care, Greta still can’t chase away the cloud of mourning that hangs over the timid Tea Dragon. As she struggles to create something spectacular enough to impress a master blacksmith in search of an apprentice, she questions the true meaning of crafting, and the true meaning of caring for someone in grief. Meanwhile, Minette receives a surprise package from the monastery where she was once training to be a prophetess. Thrown into confusion about her path in life, the shy and reserved Minette finds that the more she opens her heart to others, the more clearly she can see what was always inside.

“Fans have waited patiently for a reunion with Greta and Minette and the original Tea Dragons, and while I apologise for asking for their patience a little longer, I’m so glad that the continuation of their story will be able to be experienced the way it was truly intended,” said Katie O’Neill. “I can’t wait for readers to see what is in store!”

The Tea Dragon Tapestry will now be released on June 1st, 2021. It is currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop, bookstore, and Amazon.
